As a spiritualist, witch and tarot reader myself, it is only natural that I would gravitate towards one or more parts of my spiritual community on You Tube. I had only discovered the YouTube tarot community three years ago. This was during another “spiritual awakening” where a significant and troubling event had “led me” to discover who and what was behind the severe and ongoing spiritual attacks that I was experiencing at that time.
My intuition was
revealing to me who was at the root of the attacks. But being the person that I
am who needs confirmation (usually in the sequence of three’s), Spirit led me
to discover the online tarot community on Youtube. Fortunately, it didn’t take me very long while viewing some of these tarot readings that I was led to, to receive multiple confirmations of who was primarily at the root of my spiritual
attacks. I was then armed with the information and confirmation needed to defend myself against these unwarranted and unprovoked attacks by that "piece of sh*t" more effectively! 😠
I also received downloads from Spirit during this time “reminding me” that I too had the gift of reading tarot and other tools of divination which I had suppressed out of fear of not
being accepted by “society." This gift was suddenly activated, and soon afterwards
I was doing accurate tarot readings on myself, loved ones, (and others in secret) receiving
confirmation of my accuracy from the online tarot readers whose readings I
“gravitated towards.”
Fast forward to now, and I still enjoy watching tarot videos on YouTube. Partly, because I feel as though I have found part of my spiritual tribe online. I even have a few favorite YouTube readers that I really like and vibe with. I also enjoy discovering new readers with newer YouTube channels who, like myself, have ventured out into the vast terrain of “YouTube Tarot Land” to establish a name and reputation for ourselves. However, with the joys of finding part of my tribe aside, I have also noticed some things in the YouTube tarot community that, over the years, have unfortunately disturbed me a bit. So, without further ado, this blog article will discuss four of those issues that I have with some of the readers in the YouTube tarot community.
1 Too many YouTube tarot readers are pushing the “false light” Twin Flame (Divine Masculine/Divine Feminine) agenda. Now, don’t get me wrong.
I’m all for love. However, I am both wise and practical enough to know that,
although being in love is a beautiful thing, it is not "the be all end all” of life and its total existence. When I was a child watching Disney movies I of course had a
different perspective about love. That perspective was that life for me, as a girl, would be quite difficult and hard unless and/or until I found my “Prince” or “Knight in Shining
Armor” to come and rescue me (by marrying me). And then, together we would “live
happily ever after.” However, as I grew up and matured both emotionally and
experientially (*clears throat* ) as a woman of color who now lives a very privileged middle class life, coming from and having grown up in a working class, urban community, I soon realized the gross deception in this false
premise. 😒 Side note: Many years later, I am currently happily married to a wonderful man in an interracial marriage that I met quite some time after I had moved up the corporate and social ladder and had evolved away from my background of humble beginnings. But the "search for authentic love" was an arduous journey nonetheless, my friends! Sheez! *chuckles*
I also know that there
are many peaks, or “highs and lows” that come with love. Just as there are many “levels” and degrees of love. And, based on one’s own perspective and life
experiences, there are just as many “definitions” of love as well. Most importantly though, and as cliche as it sounds, I know that you
cannot love anyone else in a healthy and unconditional, (or in a “no-manipulative-and-controlling- strings-attached” type of way), until you have
learned how to love yourself as an already whole and complete self-accepting
person first! In other words, you must reach a healthy, self-empowered and sovereign state of mind where you are able to love and accept yourself wholly and completely without ever feeling the compulsion to seek validation from a partner or anyone outside of yourself (and Spirit/God/Universe/Source) about your worthiness and value in this world or in any type of relationship.
And this is the problem that I have with the "false love" and "false light" twin Flame (divine masculine/divine feminine) agenda that too many tarot readers are pushing in the YouTube tarot community which is nothing more than glorifying the very toxic narcissist/empath relationship or entanglement! For example, rather than promoting an agenda of self-love first before seeking that compatible partner who is an ideal and suitable match for you, and a partner that will “mirror” your level and degree of self-love and healthy self-esteem; and, rather than promoting the truth that intimate relationships are nothing more than the “icing on the cake” to your already established purpose-driven and fulfilled life, these readers are doing just the opposite.
Instead, they are promoting codependency and acceptance of abusive individuals and their toxic behaviors in these so-called “divine" relationships. They are also encouraging some of their very emotionally-vulnerable and somewhat naïve tarot clients and viewers to remain in these dysfunctional and soul-sucking “situations” in the name of that "once in a lifetime, you COMPLETE me, because you are literally the other half of my split soul kind of love! For example, I have witnessed some of these tarot readers who promote the Twin Flame agenda encourage their clients and viewers to continue to send “love and light” energy to these emotional and psychic vampires, and to continue to be the "spiritually evolved and awakened one" in their so-called relationship by continuing to accept their toxic and abusive behavior! WTF?! 😡
Other times, I have witnessed some of these YouTube tarot readers promote the "false love," "false light" Twin Flame agenda by persuading these conned women to just "forgive" their so-called divine masculines. Likewise, they also encouraged their tarot clients and viewers to forgive their masculines' emotional and mental atrocities committed against them with the hopes that they would change and come to understand that they can not complete their soul contracts and "divine missions" together until the masculines come to their
senses and realize that the pining, self-sacrificing, codependent (and often times) woman client/viewer, or "divine feminine" is "The One!" Ummm...can we call bullsh*t on this spiritual mindf*ckery ladies and gentlemen!?! If so, then let us begin with no longer calling a womanizing, low-vibrational P.O.S. male (or female) "divine!" 😉
Furthermore, I have a serious issue with YouTube tarot readers who promote Twin Flames in the online tarot community because it is blatantly obvious that they are encouraging the very toxic and self-negating behaviors of codependency, martyrdom and self-sacrifice in these harmful "entrapments," which as I so eloquently mentioned before is pure bullshit! They are also, in my opinion, promoting not only toxic relationship behaviors, but also toxic, "dead-end-nothing-ass" relationships as a whole by encouraging their emotionally-vulnerable and susceptible clients and viewers to remain in these demonic soul-ties with some very dark and empty-souled individuals.
But wait! The royal "shit show" doesn't stop there ladies and gentlemen! Because most, if not all of these so-called divine masculines that some of these YouTube tarot readers promote and condone in this Twin Flame "false love," false light" agenda and New Age cult are also often times addicted to drugs, alcohol, porn, sex and all manner of human depravity. It then becomes clear to all who have eyes to see that this so-called "Twin Flame" relationship is nothing more than the toxic relationship dynamic or entanglement between an empath--which is usually the divine feminine--and a psychopath, sociopath, or narcissist, which is typically the divine masculine!
To me, for the record, these nutcases in this latter category are all the same, despite what today's psychologists or "experts" might argue. And, for some of these YouTube tarot readers to promote this “false love”
crap, despite the fact that it is hurting and further victimizing a lot of people in the online spiritual and tarot community, and despite the fact that the promoting of the Twin Flame agenda is not only a “hot topic” in the tarot community guaranteed to get these readers more views, and is the “bread and butter” of their tarot businesses is nonetheless, appalling! 😑
2 Too many YouTube tarot
readers are copying the style and topics of other readers instead of being
unique and original
Unfortunately, the lack
of creativity with content in regard to topics, collective themes, and card spreads is
another issue that I have with online tarot readers in the YouTube community.
For example, you only have to look at a series of tarot readings by multiple
readers of various ages, ethnicities, and regional locations to see how, although the tarot readers on YouTube are a quarter a dozen, the themes and
collective messages are disturbingly similar.
In fact, several years
back when I first discovered online tarot readers, it didn’t take long for me
to notice a similar “collective theme or message” being delivered by these
tarot readers regardless of the zodiac sign, the dates and
timelines and the time span of the readings from days to weeks to months. Meaning, if there was a “collective message” in
January of 2020 that, “your divine masculine is stalking you while he is still
dealing with the karmic,” that same message was still prevalent in the majority of
the online tarot readings by these same and other readers in July of 2020!
I also noticed that quite a few new tarot readers that came onto the scene would begin to get more views and subscribers rapidly (and inauthentically) by mimicking the style or “lingo” of one or more of their favorite and popular YouTube readers. And, although I believe to some extent that “imitation is the highest form of flattery,” there is a thin line between being inspired by your favorite reader (to become YOUR best self) and just straight “jacking their swag,” which is an absolute no-no, and a reason for certain “spiritual consequences” to be rendered. And you know what I mean by that statement! *clears throat* 😉
Thus, this lack of creativity and originality, coupled with the blatant evidence of newer tarot readers copying the style of the more “veteran” tarot readers led me to open up my eyes and acknowledge that too many online tarot readers are not truly tapped in to “Source,” or a higher dimension of consciousness. Instead, they are tapped in to the lower astral realm of consciousness governed by lower vibrational familiar spirits and archonic entities.
These entities in the lower realms are responsible for recycling such collective topics and themes in repetitive cycles or “loops” with no hope or solution in sight for the viewers. This in turn keeps the viewers and clients “stuck” in the same stagnant timeline, desperately seeking solutions to the same issue or situation that does not change month after month and year after year. That is, it doesn't change until the viewer or client breaks the cycle and stops viewing the tarot readings for a while in order to purge from those repetitive messages that are causing them depression and anxiety.
Or, the client/tarot viewer's issue or situation doesn't change until the viewer breaks his or her addiction to the tarot readings entirely and relies instead on his/her own intuition for solutions and insight rather than the tarot reader's messages. Lastly, there is another solution which is the best, in my opinion. And, this solution is to be more selective in which tarot readers or “specific themes” you view (or refrain from viewing). I highly suggest this because there are some awesome readers in the YouTube tarot community, but viewing too many readers and/or too many “cross themes or subjects ” could potentially lead to confusion, depression and anxiety. Early on, this certainly was the case for me.
3 Too Many Tarot Readers
Focus On Feeding Into Drama & “Shock Value” Rather Than Focusing On Solutions
Being spiritually gifted
with the ability to divine in general and to read tarot cards specifically is a
gift which should not be taken lightly or for granted, in my humble opinion. I
say this, because there are so many people who, unlike those of us who are “tapped
in” to our gifts and tapped in to Spirit & the cosmos, wish that they could
do the same. They wish that they were armed with “something extra” in order to
navigate in this world and in their professional and intimate relationships
more effectively, and without falling into the constant traps and pitfalls that they
fall into because they do not yet have access to their spiritual gifts.
So, when tarot readers choose
to focus on "shock value" by feeding into the drama from the issues and situations that their
viewers and/or clients come to them with--rather than using their gifts to expose darkness, hidden areas of concern, and to present advice and/or solutions on how to empower and/or liberate themselves from their issues, I believe that such readers are then creating a big disservice to
their audience and clients, as well as the collective tarot community as a
whole.
I say this because the “service”
or readings that these YouTube readers are providing are not much different
from VH1’s drama-packed reality tv shows that fuel the flames of drama for shock
value in order to hook their audience into craving more drama by becoming
“addicted” to their reality tv shows. And why use your gifts of divination to do
that? Call me an altruistic “do gooder” kind of witch, but I would certainly
encourage clients and viewers of tarot readers to consider, at the very least, if
the readers have their best interests at heart? Or, if they are just into “it”
for the money and the YouTube paycheck! IJS! 😐
3 Too Many YouTube Readers
Are Unnecessarily Competitive & Down-Right Nasty Towards Their Fellow Community
Readers
This third issue is by
far the biggest grievance that I have with some tarot readers in the YouTube community. For example, as
an individual who grew up in and later liberated myself from a major organized
religion and its divisive, controlling and manipulative doctrine--along with its zealous followers,
who by the way caused me more trauma, pain, and alienation in my life than the
so-called “wordly” non-religious folks--it was most disheartening for me to
witness the same, if not worse level of backbiting, envy, unnecessary
competing, and downright nastiness of certain online tarot readers against others!
For example, I have witnessed the more popular YouTube tarot readers get cyberstalked, gangstalked and literally harassed offline by newer tarot readers and their minions, and vice versa, because of envy and unnecessary competition, when there is clearly enough room in “YouTube world” for EVERYONE! Some of the targeted YouTube tarot readers have also had their accounts hacked into. They have had money stolen out of their online accounts, and they have been "doxed" by online trolls and subjected to the stalking and harassment of themselves and their loved-ones both online and offlline! 😕
In addition, some of these targeted YouTube tarot readers have been lured into the petty “back and forth” online "witch wars" and battles with smear campaigns and defamation of character plots. They have also had spiritual warfare waged against them wherein they would also be psychically attacked both on and offline. In addition, I have had witnessed the stories of the evil eye being thrown at many of these targeted tarot readers, causing equipment failures, problems with uploading their tarot readings, and stagnation of their channel growth, as well as being unfairly flagged in order to get their channel removed by YouTube, or shadow banned!
And all of these forms of online and offline harassment were waged against some of these targeted YouTube tarot readers because of petty and unnecessary envy and competition by fellow YouTube readers out of jealousy and greed. In fact, witnessing this in the online tarot community and on the YouTube platform in general, is what led to me putting off the launching of my “tarot & witchy soul music” YouTube channel for so long.
First off, this is because I am a very private and laid back person who is intolerable of
drama and chaos on any level or degree! I mind my own business and focus on
myself and my family. Furthermore, I am not interested in being “famous” or “discovered" in kind any industry. Nor am I interested in being “YouTube famous” to the point where
I cannot go out in public without being noticed or recognized by someone I don’t
know intimately. I am an extreme introvert and homebody who spend most of my time alone and/or with hubby and our animal children! And I quite prefer it this way which is one of the main reasons why I will never show my face on YouTube, or disclose any personal and intimate details about myself or my family online or on social media!
Moreover, I never launched my YouTube channel to become famous or for validation. I launched my YouTube channel because I am a healer, a lightworker and a witch! And my purpose is to share my creativity and spiritual wisdom on a platform in order to teach, heal and inspire others. That’s it! And, I was nudged by Spirit to do so, although I was kicking and screaming along the way! Now, granted there are perks that come with living out your purpose. I mean, let’s be real. There is no such thing as earning too much money and multiple streams of income, especially online in the society that we live in today.
However, being obedient to Spirit and following your calling is always best and will eventually lead to rewards, in my humble opinion. But there is also great responsibility that comes with following your calling, especially when it involves spirituality and service, because we are tapping into the areas of people’s minds and souls, which ultimately will lead them to either self-empowerment and liberation, or darkness and bondage. And that is serious business and should NOT be taken lightly!
4 Too Many YouTube Tarot Readers Use Their Personal Tragedies To Gain Sympathy & Followers
Now don't get me wrong here. I am a firm advocate of seeking a healthy support system if you do not have a supportive circle of loved ones or kindred spirits in your life currently. Even if that means you have to seek that support system online. However, when you are placing yourself in a position of spiritual authority, which you would be as a tarot reader, diviner or spiritualist in general, then I think that it is a conflict of interest to place yourself in a position of providing spiritual service when you are currently in need of that same kind of support and service yourself! That's like a therapist leaning on her clients for emotional support. And, pardon my urban vernacular, but "where they do that at?" 😊
I have also witnessed many of these YouTube readers "turn on the waterworks" and dramatics going into complete detail about how they were currently homeless and living in hotels or in their cars because they were kicked out of their abusive and non-supportive parent's homes. Or, they had to leave their abusive partner and desperately needed support from their tarot clients and viewers in order to save up money for an apartment, etc. Some of these YouTube tarot readers even went into great detail about how they were being gangstalked by their narcissistic ex and/or family members, while also being cyberbullied online by fellow, "well known" YouTube readers or trolls.
And, just by mentioning or "name dropping" these popular YouTube readers, and making "reaction videos" about them, coupled with their subscribers and clients adding "fuel to the fire" by flooding their responses and remarks in the comment section on both platforms, these YouTube tarot readers who were claiming to be targets of online harassment by popular YouTuber readers caused a swirling "sh*t show" in the YouTube tarot community which in turn caused their videos to be bumped up the list by the YouTube algorithms exponentially!
Yet somehow, despite all of the harassment and cyberbullying, despite their homelessness, despite their lack of employment and "any" source of stable income, and despite their lack of family or social support, somehow these YouTube tarot readers who claimed to be victims of targeting and harassment all managed to have enough money to keep their cell phones on with enough data! And, somehow, they also managed to find a location or place with free wifi in order to keep recording, editing and uploading their videos consistently, while requesting cashapp & paypal donations and setting up a business to provide tarot readings! Ummm...can we say "con artistry" at its finest? *lol* 😏
What's more interesting is how after their number of views and subscriptions had increased, many of them by the thousands each week, how the attitudes of these YouTube tarot readers who were crying hardship and on and offline harassment had a sudden change about their "desperate plight." For example, there was now less "follow up" to their online clients and viewers about their homeless situation. There was also a noticeable decrease in gratitude being shown to their loyal clients and readers who literally catapulted their channel to a level of success where they were now monetized and receiving monthly income from YouTube!
And when some of their followers suggested that these tarot readers lower the prices of their readings because they, the client/viewer were no longer able to afford them because they were now facing some of the same hardships that these YouTube readers had claimed that they were in and "fighting" to climb out of, or had since successfully placed behind them, the ego and nastiness of these YouTube readers came out in full force! Unbelievable but true. And I will spare you some of the names of some of these YouTube tarot readers that I have shaken my finger at, many whom are very well known in the YouTube community across age, race and demographics in the YouTube tarot community because I know you are dying to know! Calm down there! *lol* 😊
For the most part, these issues that I have with some of the YouTube tarot readers that I have mentioned above are the only issues that I have with the YouTube tarot community as a whole. And, I am pleased to say that this is a small number of tarot readers in comparison to those tarot readers who are definitely on point in my opinion! I salute the tarot readers who are doing what they do for the right reasons, and that is to provide a valuable spiritual service for their clients and viewers while improving the quality of life for themselves and their families at the same time. It is these readers who have inspired me to launch my own “tarot & witchy soul music” channel! They are the majority in the YouTube tarot community and they make me extremely proud to be a newbie, and a "still-wet-behind-the-ears-when-it-comes-to-YouTube” kind of team member! 😊
